Built for a living club
The Crossings had a low-resolution logo, a long history and plenty happening every week. It did not have a website that brought those things together.
We started from scratch: strategy, structure, words, photography, interface and build. The formal name is Codnor Park and Ironville Club. Locally, it is The Crossings, after the railway line that once crossed near the building.

History, without the museum treatment
The archive image gives the club roots. Original photography shows the place as it is now: familiar, practical and used. Baize green and noticeboard gold turn the supplied mark into a working digital system.

Practical before promotional
People come looking for opening times, events, directions, venue hire and a sense of what the club is like. The site puts those answers first, then gives the history room to matter.
- What's on
- History
- Gallery
- Club hire
- Committee
- Contact
The useful part sits behind it
Sanity gives the committee a focused editing area at the club's own domain. They can change events, galleries, opening times, committee details and documents without working around the page design.
Publishing triggers a fresh Netlify build. Responsive image delivery, structured data and the accessible Astro front end stay consistent while the everyday content moves.
Launch was the start
The site has kept changing with the club. That is what the care arrangement is for: useful updates, handled by someone who already knows how everything fits together.

- Opening times and practical details
- Committee information
- Event archive improvements
- Photo and video gallery updates
- Domain, consent-aware analytics and deployment care
The back end where we can update events and photo galleries is really user friendly. Rob listened to what we want.
